MY FIRST EVER HANDMADE CUSHION + BUNTING

Every time one of my children say that they can`t do something... I tell them:

- There`s no such word as you can`t!:-)

And today I applied the same (wise) principle to myself!

Last Christmas, father Christmas (alias hubby) gave me my first ever sewing machine!

And I have been a bit scared of it... just the sight of attempting using it made me cringe...
to be entirely honest!

So far I only managed to make some bunting (for my living room)...
And some other little projects!
...
But today, I have faced my long time fears... and look what I have made!

My first ever cushion!
Isn`t she pretty!
I`m so proud of myself! I so should be!Ha ha...
And just to prove that it was me who made it...
I actually enjoyed making it... a lot!
You see I have been collecting vintage tapestries with the intention of making similar cushions like the one above for my living room!
Most are either tapestries of cottages, flowers/roses and birds...
And I intend to use vintage floral fabrics as background!

I think I have the cushion bug!:-)
I`m not only happy with my cushion...
But I`m also trilled to bits to have faced my fears of trying something new!
I see so many T.A.L.E.N.T.E.D ladies in the blogland, that are such great inspiration to me!
(By the way, the bunting above is another one that I made this week, too!)
It`s now taking pride of place... in my little garden!

My heart was pondering really fast, as I was cutting it!:-)
Just in case it would go wrong...
I`m already thinking of having a go at making a shoulder bag!
For me! ! And some as Christmas gifts!!
There`s no stopping me now!!!
...

But are somehow unsure off!!!

TODAY I`M DREAMING OF...
BEING MORE ADVENTUROUS!
AND BEING ABLE TO FACE MY FEARS... WHICH EVER THEY ARE!
