FOOT STOOL + TAPESTRIES + JODIE-LEE

Hi cuties! Hope that you are all well!
In this post, I would like to share with you some darling photos of our Jodie-Lee.
This year mummy bought these tomato plants... at a bargain price!
The original price was £6.98.
And the price was marked down to £1.98 and £2.10.
They didn`t look the healthiest of plants, hence the cheaper price!
And here were the results!
After J.Lee nurtured them back to health...
She had so much fun... eating them too!
(Here she was wearing her Portuguese football kit.)
You now know which football team she was supporting during the world cup!:-)
I was privileged to sample one...
And can honestly say that they were the juiciest and sweetest cherry tomatoes ever!
She was also in charge of the herb garden!?
And it was so much fun seeing J-L being so attentive to the herbs...
Although... Sadly the strawberries didn`t do so well!
So  J.L was a bit upset... She`s done a good job, looking after them...
Although the wet Summer weather didn`t help!
Thanks for letting me share these photos with you... as every proud mummy likes to remember these precious moments!...
Now moving on... I`m still doing bits here and there in my living room!
On one of the walls... I decided that it would be nice to have a display of beautiful vintage tapestries.
So I have been busy painting frames that I had, white...
And sweet hubby has been busy making some frames for me too!
Hasn`t he done an amazing job?
This tapestry is my all time favourite! And I can`t wait to be on full display, for everyone to admire!
(I bought it on Ebay! The seller had a buy it now price of £30.00 or make an offer.
I made a cheeky offer of £20.00, although he said he wanted £22.00 for it!
Fine by me! As it is one of my favourite things in my living room!)
And I know that I will treasure it, always!
I`m yet to buy a few more to add to my tapestry wall... so I put a few bids on Ebay... fingers crossed!
(Although, I`ve noticed that vintage tapestries are becoming quite popular... and prices aren`t as cheap, as they used too!)
Maybe its a new trend? A bit like granny blankets and eiderdowns...
Which I happen to L.O.V.E both, too!

I`m hoping to display these cute vintage paintings somewhere in the living room too!
And the frames have been painted already..
I wish I could say that I painted them... But sadly I can`t paint to save my life!Lol
I also managed to recover hubbies foot stool...
But decided to use a different vintage fabric!
I`m very happy with the make-over!
I think I`ve covered everything... for now!
Take care!
TODAY I`M DREAMING OFF...
THAT I WILL WIN THE TAPESTRIES ON EBAY!
SO I CAN COMPLETE MY TAPESTRY WALL!

P.S- Here is how my wall is looking at the moment!
(I took this photo late at night... Hence being dark. Sorry about that!)
And here is my beautiful tapestry!
Which happens to have 5 beautiful birds. We are a family of 5.
So in a way I feel that it represents one of us!
I think I`m the middle bird... The one that is looking down at her mischievous baby...
Which in our case, has to be my 8 year old very mischievous Daniel!Lol
Sorry for the random post!:-)

WHAT CAN YOU GET FOR £40.00 AT THE CAR BOOT

First of all the progress in my living room... as been slow!
Although I can now share the completed make-over of the frame... that I mentioned in the previous post...
And here it is!
But instead of adding a floral fabric... For coincidence I had this gorgeous vintage tapestry...
The size was nearly perfect...
So hubby came to the rescue again... and done a good job shortening it for me....
And on the photo below is how it looks in my wall.
Amongst my newly painted little glass cabinet.
This corner now looks so more brighter...
And that`s the look that I`m trying to go for!
What do you think?
As we progress changing this room... I now need to buy some treasures that reflects this style...
So lucky me, just as I thought that my local car boot had finished, there was a note in my local newspaper
saying that there was to be another one today... weather permitting!
So I took £40.00 with me, just in case that I would need it for that special treasure.
You know, the one that you really really wanted, but because of shortage of £££ you had to let it go away?
Do you want to see which treasures I bought?

- This set of vintage Christmas tree, candle lights were only £1.00.
Although I took a risk buying them, as I`m not sure if they work, although I did ask!
Most of these pretty treasures were priced at .50p, £1.00 or £2.00.
I love perfume bottles...
And although these are empty they will look lovely when grouped together and displayed in my little bathroom cabinet.
The lady had nearly a box full of these, although I was only interested on the nicer bottles...
And she let me have the lot that I`ve choose for £1.00.
Which I`m very happy about...
I was on the look out for white ceramics for my living room...
And I`m glad with the ones that I got  for £2.00 each.
Although I wish  there was more to be bought.
I also wanted elaborate frames... for my room... I found the one below for .50p.
It`s plastic, but once painted white, it will do!
Another thing that I been wanting for ages is a hula hoop netting...
To go in my pergola... just above the seater. I paid £2.00.
Which is a very good price for a like new condition Ikea netting.
When I saw these pictures below... My heart nearly stopped!:-)
I`ve been looking for one for ages for Jodie-Lee bedroom, and to find two for £3.00 for the pair...
Was one of my best buys of the day!
Since they can go for over £15.00 on Ebay + postage.
I couldn`t resist treat my girls with an hello kitty necklace and heart key ring for £2.50 for both!
These shelves below... Im not 100% sure if they were a good buy, to be honest!
But they were only £2.00 for both. And I`m hoping that once painted, they will look lovely in Daniels room!
I also bought some lovely vintage Cristmas baubles, beautifully worked tablecloth,
one like new jacket for Nichole and some other bits for my 3 treasures,
including Ben 10 stickers for Daniel!
Although, once again... I didn`t find anything for hubby, which I always feel bad about...:-)
...
Just as we were about to leave I spotted that the price of a lovely metal glass table complete with two chairs, was dropped from £35.00 to £15.00.
I saw it when we first arrived, but thought that it would be my £40.00 nearly gone in one simple transition...So I decided against buying it! I counted the money that I had left and I just about had enough for it! The table is only small, but still wouldn`t fit in our car. So the seller very kindly offered to follow us home with it!Feeling quite bad about how cheap I was getting my table, plus the free delivery... I rushed inside home to get some more money to give as a thank you gesture. Although I didn`t had any... no changes there!:-) So I pinched... I meant I borrowed some from our 8 year old!:-) Now, I have been told, that I need to pay with interest!
I think I have a business daughter in the making!Lol

TODAY I`M DREAMING OFF...
LET`S ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!

MAKE-OVER PROGRESS

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, regarding painting my furniture white!
These pretty roses are for YOU!:-)
So far I`m very pleased with how is looking...
Although I have decided that other things in the room need to have a make-over too...
In order to everything to have a lovely overall feel.
So here are the things that I decided to give a make-over to...
Remember the ornate dark picture frame before?
(Which can be seen on my last post.)
Well out of luck I had another frame and decided to add it to the top of other...
There was a little gap to the sides of the frame when patient hubby screw them for me...
I panicked for a bit, but then realized that a bit of silicone would solve my problem.

That was problem number one.
Problem number two was that when I painted the frames somehow the frame on top,
the paint started to crack and flake. And kept turning blue too!
So I had to spend a bit of time sanding but managed to solve this problem
with 5 coats of white primer!
It was a pain to get rid of the blue paint... which I`m not sure why kept turning blue...
Since the vintage frame being gilded and not blue.
Anyway, its now sorted and I`m hoping to add a lovely vintage floral fabric to it!

I`m leaving you with other treasures... that are going to have the white treatment too!
This old frame and print I bought it for £3.00, at my local auction.
Where is now painted cream... before it used to have quite a lot of water marks...
So I decided to paint it and add some pretty decals too.
Although, now I`m going to paint the frame white.

Cherubs wall plaque...

The frames on these... are going to be painted white, too.

I`m not sure if this vintage round picture frame... should be painted!

I quite like it as it is!
So I might leave it for last... just in case I decide to change my mind.

The pretty red roses motif have been skillfully hand-painted!
Aren`t they beautiful?

I`m also painting these sconces!

I looked at them many times before...

And never really paid that much notice to how elaborate they are!

Alan`s foot stool will be painted and upholstered in this pretty fabric.
Hubby always wanted one so he could rest his feet after an hard days work... while watching t.v!

And here is the progress so far!

And while mummy was busy painting the furniture in the living room...
This is the surprise that I found when I went to the play room!

Now I know why Pippin was so quiet!:-)
As he normally follows me E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.RE!
And if he isn`t with his mummy (me)... he will start crying!
Anyway as a pay back... I couldn`t resist covered him with the toilet paper...
Although he was in no mood for wanting to have is photo taken, as he just got told off before that!
I`m telling you, having Pipping is like having a new baby all over again...
Not that I`m complaining!:-)

I`m hoping to finally show you my newly decorated room... in my next post!

TODAY I`M DREAMING OFF...
WELL, MY OLDER BROTHER HAS FINALLY MOVED IN WITH HIS SWEET GIRLFRIEND,
SO I`M HOPING THAT THEY WILL BE VERY HAPPY TOGETHER!
BUT SADLY HE NOW LIVES 4 HOURS AWAY FROM US!
