OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Hello sweeties!
First of all, I want to say a big thank you for your sweet comments
and for my sweet new followers!
I will get in touch with you all, hopefully tomorrow!
While the weather has been warm and dry... I have been busy painting!
There`s still so much to do!
We are trying to get it done, before the summer holidays...
as it will be difficult to do some outside painting while the kiddies will be off school,
without being interrupted every 5 minutes.
(These lovely flowers were a gift from my lovely in laws.)
...
Anyway... that`s not the reason why I`m posting today.
As the title of this post says... Our wedding anniversary was this past Monday!
Yep! 13 years ago I made the most wonderful commitment of my life!
I got to marry the most wonderful man in the whole wide word!
There`s nothing about him that I would like to change.
He is perfect in every single way!
Although we are like chalk and cheese... maybe that`s why it works!
For us anyway!
Can you see my puffy wedding dress?
As we had a cheap wedding and I was 4 month pregnant,
I wasn`t going to have a wedding dress as such...
but my dear mum insisted that I should!
(Before I was quite against it, but now that I have two girls myself ...
I too would like to see them getting married in a wedding dress,
so now I can emphasise with my mum.)
So we got this pre-owned dress
for the bargain price of £50.00.
I think that it looks a bit like princess Diana dress, don`t you agree?

To celebrate, we had plans to go away for a romantic weekend.
Just me and hubby ... it sounded like bliss!
Although we have changed our minds
and decided to buy something for our nest instead.
Remember this lovely rusty French candle holder,
that I really wanted but unfortunately someone else bought it instead?
No the person didn`t changed his mind, unfortunately!
So we opted to buy this pair instead!
I love its shape, the rust and the ornate scrolls.
Doesn`t it look lovely in my lounge?
I love it! And every time I look at it...
it brings so many sweet memories...
... of 13 years of happiness...
although we have faced quite a few knock outs along the way,
that keeps testing our love and devotion to each other!
We are hoping that one of these Sundays the sun will continue to shine,
so we can take a lovely stroll along a country village somewhere
and then go for a lovely romantic dinner.
Just the two of us!
(Anyway, I had to bake a yummy orange cake to celebrate the special occasion.)
And what could be more romantic than old fashion pink roses in full bloom!

TODAY I`M DREAMING OF...
TO MANY MORE HAPPY YEARS TOGETHER!
